The government of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has delivered free eye care services to 4,000 individuals in Lagos.
The outreach program, held at Gbagada General Hospital, began on May 20 and is scheduled to conclude on May 27.
According to Mohammed Alsahabi, the Saudi press attaché in Nigeria, the initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader effort to deliver essential healthcare to underserved populations around the world.
Services provided included comprehensive eye examinations, cataract surgeries with intraocular lens implants, treatment of vision impairments, and distribution of prescription glasses.
