Spokesman of Atiku Abubakar the Presidential candidate of People Democratic Party ,PDP, in last general election, Dr.Daniel Bwala has advised President Bola Tinubu administration to release grain from Strategic National Grain Reserve to cushion hunger in the land.
Bwala who has ceased to attack the administration after his visit to Tinubu in January said in his post on Twitter now X;
“This is the time to deploy food from the strategic national reserve like during COVID to the very poor and vulnerable in the society.
“It is also time for corporate bodies and organisations that benefit from government tax breaks and holidays to give back in food and medical supplies just like during COVID,” he wrote..
Observers who read the massage said though, Bwala was very careful not to mention the acute hunger in the land probably in keeping with his vow not to attack the administration anymore,
his reference to COVID time underscores the extend hunger had torn the very poor and families apart in recent weeks.
