NIMC Completes Telecom Migration to NINAuth Platform

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has successfully migrated all telecommunications companies in Nigeria to its upgraded National Identification Number (NIN) verification platform, NINAuth. This move is expected to significantly improve access to real-time NIN verification and enhance service delivery for millions of subscribers nationwide.

In a statement released on Wednesday, NIMC spokesperson Kayode Adegoke confirmed the development, stating that the migration ensures uninterrupted access to critical telecom services such as new SIM registration, SIM swap, migration, and the popular “Welcome Back” processes. He added that any related issues should now be directed to the telecom operators for immediate resolution.

NIMC highlighted that NINAuth is designed to give users more control over their personal data while boosting privacy and security. The platform also provides seamless verification and convenient access to services requiring identity confirmation. The commission described the development as part of its ongoing effort to empower citizens and protect national digital infrastructure.
