The Nigerian Air Force.(NAF) has said that there was no Nigerian military “Alpha jet” crash in Kaduna state on Sunday as claimed by online report.
Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force ,Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet said NAF has been notified of the media publication that a Nigerian military “Alpha jet” aircraft has reportedly crashed and gone down in Kaduna state.
The report also said, the fighter jet left Yola, the Adamawa capital, on Sunday morning to clear bandits.
Gabkwet said in a statement on Sunday, that the said report of the aircraft crash was false. “No crash in Kaduna. No aircraft left Yola for Kaduna. I am making contact and awaiting information from other locations”.
Nigerian Air Force recorded a number of crashes in the last two months including a crash in Kaduna that claimed the life of Chief of Army Staff late Lt.Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru .
