Humility in service

The family of Senior Apostle Emmanuel Nwachukwu on Sunday gave a Special Thanksgivings  to God.

The  special thanksgivings took place  during a Church service at the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim  Church (ESOCS)’s National Headquarters Annex Cathedral  Garki Abuja, Nigeria.

Amiable Nwachukwu a former Secretary of Abuja Province of ESOCS in Nigeria specifically thanked God for delivering his father from death. 

He profusely thanked God  for His protections over his entire family and for elevating him in rank in his place of work.

Delivering a  sermon titled, “Serve God with Humility” during the Church service,  the Secretary of the National Headquarters Annex Cathedral Abuja, His Eminence, Apostle General  Dr. Godwin Akaba  enjoined christians to serve God with humility .

He said Jesus Christ lived an examplary life of humility. Citing the humility of Jesus Christ  as demonstrated in John 13: 2-5;  14-15; Dr Akaba urged christians to rise and work for God the way Christ served , leading by example.

He further enjoined us  as children of God to depict Christ like behavior in  our homes,  in churches, in the communities where we lived,  in our offices and work places.

His Eminence also urged the congregation to emulate the humility of Joseph and David as recorded in the Bible and to avoid pride and arrogance, adding that: By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour,and life.Proverbs 22:4.

He summarized with a prayer in which every member of the congregation  fervently asked God for spirit of humility.
