The Prelate of Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, His Most Eminence Baba Aladura(Dr.) David L. Bob-Manuel (Moses Orimolade IX) the head of the Church Worldwide said on Saturday that God will shortly remove COVID- 19 epidemic that is ravaging the World.
He stated this at ESOCS Mount Zion Gen. Headquarters Ebute-Meta, Lagos shortly before he declared opened 2021 Saint Moses Tunolase Orimolade Memorial Lecture organized by Eternal Torch Bearers Association (ETBA) in conjunction with other sponsors.
The virus have claimed the lives of over 4.94million peoples worldwide including 2,855 Nigerians and caused a major economic disorder and lockdown that disrupted activities including church programmes.
Bob-Manuel urged the People of World to live a righteous life, “for to be carnally minded is death: but to be spiritually minded is life and Peace.”
He said that ESOCS is the main stream of the Church that was.founded by Saint Moses Tunolase Orimolade.He therefore called on other churches that broke away to come back to the main stream that was registered by Moses Orimolade with Number 316, which translated as John Chapter 3: 16.
The Baba-Aladura Bob-Manuel said that all children of Moses Orimolade would give ESOCS, founded in 1925 a World Class centenary celebration in four years time.
He said “the topic of this year’s Moses Orimolade memorial lecture is very dear to me” as it goes to his goal to empower the youths and women for their growth and that of the church.
The Key Note Speaker , former Deputy Governor of Lagos State , Otuba Olufemi Pedro advised the church to have a new vision that would focus on education, scholarship and entrepreneurship .
He said the church has a duty to lift up members because they would lift up the church.
According to Pedro the most important thing in becoming an entrepreneur is the mind set. Secondly, you must have personal and finacial discipline . One must identify his or her passion and convert it into money yeildying ventures.
He said that Knowledge is vital in this process of becoming an entrepreneur, and not acquisition of certificates, “if one must create wealth , money that work for you.”
Also speaking , on same topic, the guest lecturer, Pastor Akinyele Aluko advised the Church to set up cooperative societies that would empower members to go into entrepreneurship.
He said that the church can do it by adopting cooperative business method as their intervention department . Citing the Church bands as an area where “we are loosing out because of poor reward”, even though ESOCS is known to be the first that started playing music in church, the lecturer posited that the church have talented members waiting to be converted into money yeildying ventures.
He also advised members to alien with with Global value chains . He suggested agriculture and stressed that it has great potential market in the country.
