Even as military takes stringent measures and would wish that it’s ranks are not penetrated, facts have continue to emerged that ISWAP /Boko Haram are infiltrating .
A recent account by unidentified officer of an incident of an arrest of ISWAP infiltrator speaks volumes and raises alarm and concerns. It runs thus:
“One brilliant Lcpl Jibril who was an instructor with his Bn in Geidam, disappeared for about two days . He was very popular and well liked because he knew his work very well. He was sighted by some people to be among the BHTs that attacked Geidam last Sunday.
“The Bn CO placed his phone number on tracking. On Monday , Jibrin’s loc was traced to be in Gashua. The CO at Gashua was immediately intimated and the soldiers in Gashua spread their dragnets.
“Yesterday (Tuesday April 26) morning Lcpl Jibrin boarded a bus to Gombe and disguised himself.
“The soldiers at the checkpoint in Gashua were able to identify Jibrin and he was arrested with immediate effect.
“He was immediately handcuffed. After series of interrogation he revealed so many things without fear. As he was being taken back to Geidam, (being a weapon instructor and smart enough) he tactically snatched a gun from one of the escorts who were trying to put him in-between them and blew himself up.
“Already some of his colleagues are in Gombe and some are still in Geidam town and among the troops too. Real problem awaits the military.
“And that was the end of a brilliant chap who was a material to the army. In fact, he was in the intelligence before moving him as an instructor. Lcpl Jibril was a Babur man from Biu.
