Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has debunked claims suggesting his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing them as baseless and politically motivated. He made it clear that his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains firm and unwavering.
Reacting to reports circulating online, Zulum urged the public to disregard what he termed deliberate distractions from his administration’s developmental agenda. He emphasized that the focus of his government is on rebuilding Borno and improving the lives of its citizens, not on political mischief.
The governor called on media practitioners and citizens to always verify political claims through official sources before spreading unverified narratives. He reiterated his commitment to the APC’s ideals and the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
