Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the provision of daily free meals for pupils and financial stipends of N300,000 for the parents of 90 students in Magumeri Local Government Area.
The governor emphasized the urgent need to strengthen education in northern Borno, which he described as the least developed region educationally.
He also approved scholarships for nine girls and directed more investment into Islamic colleges blending Arabic scholarship with Science, Mathematics, English, and vocational skills. According to him, these reforms are designed to preserve traditional Sangaya education while preparing pupils for modern challenges.
