WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER NATIONAL CONFERENCE ENDED IN PRAISE

….. NATIONAL CHAIRPERSON WWDP APPRECIATES THE INTERNATIONAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

It was a moment of joy and thanksgiving as Ambassadors from all walks of life gathered at the Methodist Trinity Church, Tinubu Square, Lagos to celebrate and give thanks to God to witness the 2023 Women’s World Day of Prayer (WWDP) National Conference in Lagos.

The conference which started on the 28th of April ended on the 5th of May, 2023.

The theme for this year’s Conference is titled” Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”. Matthew 11: 28-30.

In her welcome address, the National Chairperson, Evangelist Dame Florence Uche Nneoma thanked and appreciated the International Executive Director, Ms Katie Reimer for gracing the occasion in Nigeria.

She commended her efforts in working for the Lord noting that the passion and zeal she has for the upliftment of the organization cannot be over emphasized.

She described her as a mentor due to her brilliancy and unrelentless creativity towards God’s work.

She also gave God almighty the glory who gave the Ambassadors the grace to be alive to see the ending of the preparatory workshop on the theme.

Adding that the journey of six years ago took them to Brazil where they submitted the country’s topic which was approved as a topic to write on and that she noted has metamorphosized them as writer country in 2026, when the whole world would read their content.

She therefore use the forum to appreciate the presence of Mama Africa, Queen Bridget Shisha who in her own composite exhibited African touch in a louder perspective to the whole world.

The WWDP Boss also commended the efforts of her husband, His Eminence, Dr Sam C.K Uche GPJ, the prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria describing him as the pillar of support behind her success story.

In conclusion she said ” I pray that all of us that started this match, will surely see the celebration of 2026 in good health in Jesus name, Amen”.

Highlights of the event includes;thanksgiving service by the World Day of Prayer Committee and a well organized reception in honour of the World President of WWDP, Mrs Joyce Larko Steiner. (She is a Ghanian and the first ever black woman in the world to hold the post) and the African Representative of WWDP Queen Bridget Shisha.

The North -Central Zone ably lead by Pastor (Mrs) Deborah Adaji was well represented at the conference and Head of Media of Publicity, North-Central Zone, Mother-In-Israel Arc Dr Mrs Patience Osunkwo, Assistant National Secretary, Bishop Eunice Kalu, the Secretary, Lady Mary Ofem, Dr Udo Igwe,(Treasurer) and Mrs Chinwendu Odi all from the WWDP North-Central Zone also graced the occasion.
