President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to peace in Rivers State has once again borne fruit.
On Thursday night, key stakeholders, including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and House Speaker Martins Chike Amaewhule, gathered at the Presidential Villa for peace talks.

The presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his X handle on Friday, said the meeting marks a significant milestone in the President’s efforts to restore stability in the state, coming just three months after he imposed a state of emergency on March 18.
The peace talks, which were aimed at sustaining peace and stability in Rivers State, saw Wike and Fubara expressing their commitment to working together.

In an interview with Sunday Moses, President Tinubu’s official videographer, Wike said, “We have all agreed to work together. Everything is over.
“We are members of the same political family. As humans, we have disagreements. We also have time to settle the disagreements
“There is no more acrimony. Everything is over. It’s a day we have to thank the Almighty.
Governor Fubara echoed Wike’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of peace in the state.
