UEFA Mulls Four-Team Super Cup in Middle East or USA

UEFA is considering a major revamp of the UEFA Super Cup, with plans to transform it into a four-team tournament played outside Europe. According to reports, the competition could be staged in the Middle East or the United States, featuring two semi-finals and a final instead of the current one-off match.

The proposed format would potentially include the winners of the Champions League, Europa League, Europa Conference League, and an invited club or continental champion. UEFA is reportedly exploring the move as part of efforts to boost global viewership and generate more revenue.

If approved, the changes could come into effect within the next few seasons, marking one of the biggest shifts in the history of the competition since its inception in 1973. Talks are ongoing, and an official decision is yet to be made.
