Traditional Rulers stormed A’Court over continue detention of Nnamdi Kanu.

Traditional Rulers from Umuahia North Local Government Area and Ikwuano Local of Government Area of Abia state Nigeria on Monday stormed Court of Appeal Abuja demanding the release from custody of Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra , IPOB,.

The Traditional Rulers mostly from
the Area where Nnamdi Kanu hailed from and adjourning environs were seen in traditional regalia .

Not less than six of the reverenced Traditional Rulers sat through out in Court the proceedings of Court of Appeal on the appeal filed by the federal government .

The federal government in appeal is seeking an order of stay of execution of same Court of Appeal judgement delivered on October 13 ,2022 that discharged Kanu from five count charges bordering on terrorism

The Traditional Rulers are His Royal Highness, Eze (Sir) Innocent Nwaigwe, Secretary Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness, Eze Nnamchi Ofoegbu ,the Chairman Oluhu Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness Eze Iheanyi Chukwu Ezigbo,the Chairman Ibeku Council of Traditional Rulers.

Others are His Royal Highness Eze Pst.Philip Ajomiwe, the immediate past Chairman Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness Eze Eddy Ibeabuchi,former Chairman Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers and His Royal Highness, Eze Ben Oriaku Ikwuano Local Government Area.

The Court of Appeal heard the federal government application but reserved it’s ruling to a future date to be communicated to the parties in dispute the federal Republic of Nigeria and Nnamdi Kanu.
