President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday arrived in Lagos on a working visit, shortly after attending the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Oyo State. His visit comes ahead of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will meet with key private sector stakeholders and senior government officials during his stay in Lagos. He is also expected to inaugurate the remodelled National Theatre, renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, as part of the anniversary activities.
The President will proceed to Imo State on September 30 to commission projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma. Addressing Nigerians in Ibadan earlier, Tinubu declared that the nation’s economy “has turned around” following his administration’s reforms, assuring that the sacrifices of the past two years would soon yield visible results.
