President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as the Renewed Hope Ambassador ahead of the national rollout of the Federal Government’s Ward Development Programme. The appointment, announced by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga, also makes Uzodimma the Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation.
According to the statement, Uzodimma will work closely with APC leadership and governors to promote the administration’s policies, coordinate nationwide engagement, and strengthen grassroots mobilisation. His role includes driving harmony and inclusiveness within the party, ensuring that the government’s achievements since 2023 are communicated effectively across the country.
President Tinubu expressed confidence in the governor’s capacity, noting that Uzodimma and other APC governors would serve as key promoters of the Renewed Hope agenda. He emphasized the need for Nigerians to understand ongoing reforms and the progress recorded under his administration.
