Terrorists killed 7 Police officers in Gusau Zamfara State

Terrorists referred to as bandits by the  federal government and the locals in Northern part of Nigeria on Monday killed seven police officers in an ambush along  Tofa Magami Road in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

An indigene of the area and a civilian Salisu Sani, told Newsmen that the incident occurred about 6pm on Monday when the police Officers  were on patrol along the road in the area.

Sani said, “The bandits ambushed the police personnel, killed seven of them and set their operational vehicle ablaze.”

Sani stated that the bandits who were in large number engaged the police operatives in a gun battle, that resulted in the killings of seven  police officers on the spot.

“I saw their dead bodies being evacuated to Gusau,” said Sani.

The spokesperson of the Yarima Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, Awwal Ruwan-doruwa confirmed that seven dead bodies of the slain police operatives were brought to the hospital.

When contacted by Sleeknews  the Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu was not yet briefed on the incident. He said “I will call you back later. He  has not call back at time of filing this report.
