A hearing impaired man simply identified as Ewhubare, has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
He was reportedly shot dead in Ogorivwo-Ovu community, Oviorie, Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The deceased was shot dead in his farm, DAILY POST reports.
It was learnt that the killer herdsmen chased the victim until he was shot dead in the farm for reasons not clear at press time.
The incident has caused serious tension in the community among indigenes and residents who are spoiling for a reprisal attack on all the Fulani in the area.
No arrest has been made but the police have evacuated the corpse to a morgue.
The development has thrown the deceased’s wife and his four children as well as family members into a state of mourning.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, in a telephone chat said, “let me find out”.
