Strike: A’Court grant ASUU conditional leave with ceavt to
resume work today

The court of Appeal has granted the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, leave to appeal the decision of the industrial court order but with caveat to resume work today.

In a unanimous decision, three members of the panel held that ASUU can not be denied the constitutional guaranteed right to appeal.

They ,however, decried the attitude of ASUU who had refused to comply with the decision of the National Industrial Court.

The Justices therefore held that the leave to appeal granted by the court would abate if the disobedience to the lower court order was not stop, and the lectures returned to work immediately.
