Rivers Assembly Speaker, 15 other lawmakers who were elected in 2023 general election on the tickets of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) have dumped the party for All Progressive Congress (,APC).
The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Awaewhule, alongside 15 members of the House, announced their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday.
The lawmakers announced their defection to the APC during plenary in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, on December 5, 2025.
