The Police in Gauteng, South Africa have launched a manhunt for a man identified as Sylvester Roy Mphephu over the alleged murder of his 28-year-old girlfriend, Palesa.
It’s alleged that Palesa was brutally beaten by the suspect on Monday morning, September 5, 2022, in Edenvale, Gauteng.
According to reports, Mphephu disappeared after dropping Palesa at a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Citizens are urged to lookout for the suspect and to report or contact to the nearest police station if they see him.
Meanwhile, family members, friends and members of the community have taken to Facebook to demand justice for the victim.
A member of the family, Lee-Roy Kolobe Bruce Maboya, advised women to walk away from abusive relationships.
“Dear Ladies, your silence is tearing us apart. Keeping quite when your partner raise a hand on you is not a good thing,” she wrote.
“Immediately after he raise a hand on you, please.. Please walk away for a reason that he laid his hand on you for the first time he will definetely do it again.. chances are 75%
