A small aircraft carrying 12 foreign tourists has crashed in Kwale County, near Kenya’s coast, on Tuesday morning. The plane, which was en route to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, went down shortly after takeoff, authorities confirmed.
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) said emergency teams and government agencies are already on-site to determine the cause of the crash and assess the damage. The Maasai Mara, a world-famous safari destination, attracts thousands of visitors annually for the spectacular wildebeest migration from Tanzania’s Serengeti.
