The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Engr. Dr. Oluyinka Olumide and Special Adviser, e-GIS and Urban Planning, Dr. Olajide Babatunde today visited Agboye Compound, Ketu, where part of a building caved in on Sunday.
The Commissioner and the Special Adviser visited the site in the company of the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Oluwole Sotire and other management staff of the ministry to make direct assessment of the situation.
The site had been sealed off and occupants evacuated by the relevant Lagos State Agencies.
The Commissioner stated that the Lagos State Safety Commission, the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA and Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area would team up to open a register of the occupants and supervise safe and hitch-free removal of their belongings.
