The forum of state chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended two members for allegedly working with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to derail preparations for the party’s forthcoming national convention.
In a statement issued after a meeting on Tuesday at the party’s FCT secretariat in Abuja, chaired by Edward Percy Masha, the forum announced the suspension of Austine Nwachukwu, chairman of Imo PDP, and Amah Abraham Nnana, chairman of Abia PDP.
The forum accused both men of colluding with “external forces” linked to the APC to sabotage the national convention set for November 15–16.
