Daniel Woyengikuro, the National Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has hinted that the party might offer former President Goodluck Jonathan an automatic presidential ticket for the 2027 elections.
Woyengikuro, however, noted that Jonathan would need to officially rejoin the party and become politically active once again. He emphasized Jonathan’s leadership status within the PDP, describing him as the party’s national leader after former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
When asked if Jonathan would be granted an automatic ticket, Woyengikuro responded affirmatively, saying, “That’s my clear position. Quote me anywhere — I want him back. He deserves an automatic ticket, as things currently stand. It’s time to rescue both the party and the nation.”
