Oyo Park Chairman arraigned in court for damaging Tinubu’s billboards

Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, the Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System has been arraigned in court.

Lamidi was charged with conspiracy and unlawful damage of campaign billboards featuring pictures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Lamidi, popularly known as Auxiliary, was apprehended and arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ibadan on Thursday, Naija News understands.

He was said to have committed the offence on November 13, 2022, at the Omi-Adio area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The police prosecutor, AS Sunday Fatola, told the court presided over by Chief Magistrate Taiwo Oladiran, that Lamidi and others at large also, on Sunday, November 13 at about 6:50 pm at Igboora in Ibarapa zone of the state, conspired and willfully destroyed billboards featuring Tinubu’s pictures and as well APC’s governorship candidate in the state, Senator Teslim Folarin, and a House of Representatives candidate.

After hearing the two reports, Chief Magistrate, Oladiran granted Lamidi bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The matter was adjourned till February 2, 2023, for a hearing.
