The Nigeria Police has commenced investigations into the cause of death of Osinachi the gospel singer, Inspector General of Police Alkali Baba has said.
Baba disclosed this when the minister of Women Affair Mrs Pauline Tallen paid him an advocacy visit in his office at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja . He said the police has approached the authority of National Hospital to conduct an post-mortem on the decease to ascertain the causes of death.
The Nigeria Police has also open communication with the Attorney General of Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami (SAN)for legal advice and prosecution.
Alkali, said that husband of the late gospel singer, Peter Nwachukwu, would be charged to court, if the post-mortem on the deceased found him culpable.
He also said the alleged act of maltreatment and eventual death of the popular gospel musician, Osinachi, was condemnable, immoral, illegal and contrary to the provisions of the law.
IGP Alkali equally said the untimely death of Osinachi was heart-breaking, particularly as information from sources close to the family and independent witnesses had fingered her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, as being responsible for her death.

Meanwhile,a brother of late gospel singer, Chiemerie, who reported Oninach husband Peter Nwachukwu to the police for a case of culpable homicide had accused him of killing the singer slowly.Nwachukwu was arrested on April 10,
