Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has confirmed that there was an attempt to impeach Senate President Godswill Akpabio, but the move was quickly foiled.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja, Kalu described the plot as a mere “family misunderstanding,” insisting that unity had been restored within the Senate. He noted that despite internal disagreements, the lawmakers remain focused on governance.
The former Abia governor also acknowledged Nigeria’s economic challenges, expressing optimism that the government’s ongoing reforms would soon yield results for ordinary citizens.
