The management of Dangote Refinery has confirmed that it carried out a recent downsizing of its workforce but insisted that reports of a mass sack were exaggerated.
In a statement, the company explained that only a very small number of staff were affected, stressing that the decision was part of a routine performance review exercise. The refinery noted that the move was necessary to ensure efficiency and align its operations with global best practices.
Dangote Refinery further assured that the development would not affect its operations or timelines, adding that it remains committed to providing jobs for thousands of Nigerians as it scales up production.
