Manchester City have officially completed the signing of highly-rated Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan, aged 18, in a deal worth €15 million.
The talented youngster, who has been on the radar of several top European clubs, opted to join the Premier League champions after being impressed by City’s project and development pathway. Nypan has been widely regarded as one of Norway’s brightest prospects, showcasing technical brilliance, vision, and maturity beyond his years at Rosenborg.
City beat strong competition from Bundesliga and La Liga clubs to secure his signature. The teenager is expected to initially join the club’s Elite Development Squad, with a long-term view of integrating into the senior team under Pep Guardiola.
