The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bashir Ojulari, says the company is on track to raise Nigeria’s crude oil production to 1.8 million barrels per day before the end of 2025. He made this known after meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
Ojulari noted that the NNPCL recorded about 1.68 million barrels per day in September — the highest in five years — and over seven billion cubic feet of gas daily. He assured that with the recent maintenance operations completed, production will continue to rise steadily.
He added that the recent hike in cooking gas prices was temporary and linked to supply disruptions caused by industrial action, but said prices are expected to normalise soon as operations stabilise across facilities.gets #Abuja
