In a remarkable display of honesty and integrity, a Nigerian pilgrim, Hajiya Zainab from Plateau State, has returned a lost sum of $5,000 to its rightful Russian owner during the ongoing pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. The incident occurred in the holy city of Makkah, where thousands of pilgrims are gathered for the Hajj rituals.
According to eyewitnesses, Hajiya Zainab discovered the misplaced envelope containing the money near the Grand Mosque. Without hesitation, she reported the find to the Nigerian Hajj delegation, who worked swiftly with Saudi authorities to trace and reunite the Russian pilgrim with his money. The grateful Russian tourist reportedly shed tears and thanked Zainab for her exemplary honesty.
