The organisation further stated that the attempts to uproot, arrest, discard and detain the said family comprising of the head (Okpalakunne Basil Ifeanyi) His wife (Okpalakunne Calista Chimaije )and their children (Chisom and Chimebuka Okpalakunne) are all at the instance of an Uga man Chukwudulue Kingsley Ijebuonwu who is resident in Onitsha and acting under the counsel and instigation of one Willifred Egwuonwu of Crudio D. Carissa School Ugbuolu. all members of Uga Ntutu Akwu is as horrible as unheard of.

It recalled that following their( Mr Chukwudulue Kingsley Ijebuonwu and Willifred Egwuonwu unending petitions to the office of the Inspector General of Police Force Headquarters Abuja the family of Okpalakunne were dragged to Abuja, adding that this is in addition to the brutal torture the family was subjected to in Awka and Fegge Police Station Onitsha where they were detained between May 1, and July 5 ,2023.

Stating that the weak in the society should be allowed to co- exist in their poverty, the organisation said that Okpalakunne family ordeal followed complaint by Chukwudulue Kingsley Ijebuonwu and a criminal charge No: Mo/176C / 2023 allegedly instigated against the family which prosecution is still pending before Magistrate court at Onitsha, Anambra state.

The above attempt to continuously subject the poor members of the family of Okpalakunne incessant detention and Persecutions using Nigerian Force and the instrument of law is not only unjust, malicious and unfair, but an abuse of court processes .
