NASPRI students undertake study tour of NAWLG, AFNRS in Abuja

Students of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) on Thursday May 23rd undertook a study tour of Nigerian Army Welfare Limited By-Guarantee (NAWLG) and Armed Forces of Nigeria Radio Service (AFNRS 107.7fm) in Abuja.

The tour was Inline with (NASPRI) passionate drive for realistic training and improved students capacity development.

The Commandant of NASPRI, Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Ngulde led the students of (Media Operation Officers Course 14/24, X2 News Reporting and X2 Graphics and Printing all of Second Quarter Courses) on the tour.

They were received at NAWLG by the Group Managing Director, Major General Sunday Jiya who was represented by the Deputy Director Operations, Colonel Abubakar Gwani.

The students were extensively briefed on the day to day activities of the group by the Acting Director Corporate Affairs Lieutenant Colonel Ngozi Agha-Okoro.

The students were conducted round the facilities in NAWLG especially the Printing Press were technical details of the machines and its functions including operations were made known to the students to enhance their practical knowledge.

Similarly, at AFNRS, the Executive Director, Colonel Timothy Antigha (Rtd) commended the Commandant for exposing the students on practical knowledge.

He expressed satisfaction that the students were drawn from the Army, Navy and Air Force, charged them to use experience gain during the tour to better the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

The students were conducted round the facilities, equipment and department in the station under the supervision of the Assistant Director Programmes, Navy Captain Edward Yeibo.

Other high points of the tour includes the presentation of vote of thanks by the students, presentation of plaques and photographs.
