A 45-year-old electrician (name withheld) has died after being electrocuted while reconnecting electricity cables to a pole in the Shasha area of Lagos.
Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday, noting that it occurred on August 10 at about 11:30 a.m. He said the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital by police detectives but was confirmed dead by the attending doctor.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Tactical Squad of the Command in Surulere have arrested four suspected cultists at their hideout in Ebute Meta. The suspects, apprehended on July 17, 2025, are under investigation over alleged involvement in murder.
