Kwankwasiyya Leader in Kano Defects to APC

The leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Gobirawa Ward, Dala LGA of Kano State, Alhaji Amadu Danfulani, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). He announced his decision on Tuesday at the APC state headquarters in Kano.

Danfulani said he left the Kwankwasiyya Movement and its leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, due to what he described as disappointment with their leadership, adding that the ruling NNPP in the state was pursuing “anti-people’s policies.”

His defection was received by the APC Zonal Chairman for Kano Central, Alhaji Shehu Aliyu Ungoggo, on behalf of the state chairman, Abdullahi Abbas. Danfulani was joined by some of his supporters, who also dumped the NNPP for the APC.
