Popular media personality and content creator, Kolu, has appealed to fellow entertainer Carter Efe for a ₦7 million loan to help secure the release of singer Portable from prison. The appeal was made during a live Twitch session on Thursday.
Explaining his concern, Kolu said Portable played a major role in his rise to fame, revealing that the controversial singer brought him to Lagos and helped change his life. Speaking in Pidgin, Kolu stated that Portable gave him the exposure that made him successful.
Portable was remanded in prison on Tuesday by the Federal High Court in Ota, Ogun State, over allegations of car theft and assault levelled against him by his baby mama, Ashabi Simple. Reports also claim the singer was handcuffed and assaulted while in police custody.
