Kogi Government Congratulates Newly Appointed Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Samuel Olumode

The Kogi State Government has congratulated Kogi-born Mr. Samuel Adeyemi Olumode on his recent appointment as the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government described the appointment as a recognition of Olumode’s “dedication, hard work, and professionalism.”

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, while expressing his delight, hailed the appointment as yet another testament to the capacity of indigenes of Kogi State to play strategic roles in Nigeria’s development.

“Kogi State takes great pride in this achievement. Mr. Olumode has made our state proud, and we are confident he will implement meaningful reforms in the Federal Fire Service,” the governor said through the statement.

The government also extended its appreciation to President Tinubu for continuing to entrust key national responsibilities to capable individuals from Kogi State.

“We thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his trust in the competence of Kogi indigenes. Mr. Olumode’s appointment is a clear reflection of our people’s growing national relevance.”

Governor Ododo assured the new Controller General of the state government’s full support as he begins his new role, and wished him a successful and impactful tenure.

Mr. Olumode is expected to lead reforms aimed at enhancing fire safety services across the country.
