Human rights activist and #FreeNnamdiKanuNow campaigner, Omoyele Sowore, was rearrested by the police on Friday, shortly after appearing at the Kuje Magistrate Court in Abuja — despite meeting all bail conditions set by the court.
The court had earlier granted bail of ₦500,000 each to Sowore and others, with two sureties residing in the Federal Capital Territory and valid identification and tax clearance for three years.
Despite full compliance, Sowore was taken back to the Kuje Correctional Centre and is expected to be arraigned on new charges on Monday, October 27, 2025, reportedly related to remarks he made about President Bola Tinubu.
