Just In: Court of Appeal freed Kanu ,set aside charges against him

The Court of Appeal on Thursday in a judgement quashed the seven criminal charge preferred against Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Court held that the lower court has no jurisdiction to Kanu on count 1,2,3,4,5, 8, and 15. which he is currently standing trial at the Federal High Court Abuja on the ground of extra -ordinary rendition by federal government from Kenya.

The Court held that the federal government failed to comply with International convention s including Cap 10 of the African Charter, which the country is signatory to.
