Just In: Alhaji Aminu Dantata Laid to Rest in Madinah

Late Nigerian business mogul and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who passed away on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been laid to rest at the revered Al-Baqi Cemetery in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

The burial took place on Tuesday, following Jana’iza (funeral) prayers held after Maghrib at the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi), one of Islam’s holiest sites.

Alhaji Dantata, a towering figure in Nigeria’s post-independence economic history and philanthropy, was 94 years old at the time of his passing. His interment at Al-Baqi places him among the company of many revered Islamic personalities, a reflection of the deep respect he commanded during his lifetime.
