Jawab Sport Academy Reflects on Milestones, Community Support After FCT Preseason Tournament

Jawab Sport Academy, a grassroots football initiative aimed at nurturing young, underprivileged talent, has marked its three-month journey with significant achievements, according to its founder, Adesina Mojeed Adewumi.

The academy recently participated in its first major competition, the FCT Preseason Tournament held in Abuja, where the team impressively advanced to the quarter-final stage. Despite being a newcomer to such tournaments, Jawab Sport Academy also managed to win the majority of the friendly matches they played in preparation, reflecting the team’s progress.

Adewumi credited much of the success to the academy’s coaching staff, who have been instrumental in shaping the players both on and off the pitch. “The commitment of our coaches to the development of these young athletes has been exceptional,” he stated, emphasizing their role in building disciplined and skilled footballers.

In addition to the coaching staff, Adewumi expressed gratitude to the academy’s media team, whose efforts have helped raise the profile of the academy by capturing and sharing their journey with the wider public. He also acknowledged the work of the welfare team, led by his wife, for ensuring that the players’ well-being remains a top priority.

The academy’s journey has not only been supported internally but also by the local community and fans. Adewumi praised the Suleja and Kwamba communities, whose support and enthusiasm for football have been a constant source of motivation for the players. “Your encouragement and love for the game have inspired everyone at Jawab Sport Academy,” he said.

Looking ahead, Adewumi shared exciting news about potential partnerships. The academy has received positive responses from partnership proposals sent to various organizations, including banks, multinational companies, and sports clubs in Europe. They are also exploring affiliations with European clubs and partnerships with scouts to help their players showcase their skills on a broader platform.

Adewumi concluded by thanking the tournament organizers and the clubs that hosted Jawab Sport Academy for friendly matches, noting that these opportunities have been key to the team’s development. He expressed optimism about the future, confident that the academy’s journey is just beginning.

Jawab Sport Academy, though in its early stages, has already laid the foundation for greater achievements, with the support of its dedicated staff, passionate fans, and the surrounding community.
