The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called for a more radical and innovative approach to curb the growing menace of examination malpractice in Nigeria. Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, stressed that existing strategies are no longer sufficient to tackle the sophisticated tactics used by cheats and syndicates.
Prof. Oloyede proposed a multi-sectoral collaboration involving security agencies, educational institutions, and tech innovators to enhance surveillance and enforcement. He warned that without drastic reforms, the integrity of the country’s examination system would be at grave risk.
