The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has convened a high-level stakeholders’ meeting at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka ahead of the November 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election.
The meeting, attended by political party representatives, security agencies, civil society organisations, traditional rulers, youth groups, and the media, focused on ensuring a credible, peaceful, and inclusive electoral process.
According to INEC officials, the engagement was designed to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, address logistical and security challenges, and promote voter confidence ahead of the polls.
Discussions at the meeting included election preparedness, technological innovations, voter education, and inter-agency cooperation. Participants were also urged to commit to peaceful conduct and responsible political communication throughout the election period.
The Commission emphasised that continuous engagement with all stakeholders remains central to delivering free, fair, and transparent elections in Anambra State.
