Pastor David Ibiyeomie has urged northern Christians to defend themselves as terror attacks and mass abductions continue to rise across the region. His comments follow the recent assault on worshippers in Kwara State.
He referenced the biblical story of Peter carrying a sword, arguing that Christians should also be prepared to protect themselves. According to him, arming themselves with walking sticks would help deter attackers targeting churches.
Ibiyeomie warned that ongoing killings and kidnappings will persist unless communities take action, stressing that resisting attackers would discourage further assaults on worship centres.
