Nigerian social media activist and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has publicly admitted he was wrong in his recent confrontation with music executive Jude Okoye over singer Cynthia Morgan’s longstanding grievances.
The outspoken critic, known for taking bold stances on controversial issues, expressed deep regret after discovering new information about the dispute involving royalties and rights to Cynthia’s stage name.
The revelation came during a social gathering where Jude Okoye confronted Verydarkman with documentary evidence disproving several of Cynthia Morgan’s claims. Among the documents was a 2016 video showing Cynthia herself introducing the stage name “Madrina,” as well as royalty statements indicating she had earned just $3,860 in total—not millions, as previously insinuated.
These revelations prompted Verydarkman to reflect on his earlier accusations, leading him to publicly state that he felt “foolish” for reacting without verifying the facts.
Following the encounter, Verydarkman issued a heartfelt apology to Jude Okoye, calling on Cynthia Morgan to do the same. He emphasized the importance of protecting reputations and urged public figures to avoid jumping to conclusions without complete evidence.
The incident has reignited conversations on accountability in the entertainment industry, particularly regarding the need for transparency in artist-label relationships.
