Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ned Nwoko on Sunday declared that his defection from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC was not for political interest or personal gain, but a decision taken to alignwith good governance in the country.
The lawmaker, in a statement by his media consultant, Michael Ogah, officially added that his defection was not driven by electoral ambitions.
According to the statement, Nwoko who stated this at Agbor while addressing stakeholders and party supporters, explained that his move to the APC was based on his desire to align with a platform that prioritizes good governance, economic development, and the overall welfare of the people of Delta North and Nigeria at large.
“I did not leave the PDP because of elections. My decision was made after deep reflection on the party’s internal challenges and my commitment to ensuring that my people receive the best possible representation,” he stated.
The senator, known for his contributions to legislative development and economic advocacy, emphasized that his focus remains on delivering quality representation and supporting policies that drive progress in Delta State.
