Unable to bear the prevailing sufferings in silence a huge crowd of Nigerians took to the streets in Benin City on Monday expressing their frustrations over the growing harsh living condition across the country.
Concerned citizens and activists are driving the demonstration to draw attention to the growing hardship occasioned by a number of policies, including removal of subsidy, resulting in hike in pump price of fuel.
The protesters wielded placards bearing messages such as “Say no to continuous hike in fuel price,” “FG, allow the poor breath,” and “Fuel price is choking us.”
The images of the rally posted on Twitter by Ijeoma Osamor of AIT quickly went viral, attracting solidarity from people across the nation.
