Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo State, has appealed to the Federal Government to intervene in the dilapidated state of some federal roads in the state.
The governor made the appeal while receiving the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, who was inspecting ongoing federal road projects in the state.
Uzodinma said that his administration has executed some federal road projects, such as the Owerri-Orlu road and the ongoing Owerri-Umuahia road. However, he noted that there are still many federal roads in the state that are in need of repair.
“I therefore, called for more interventions from the Federal Government in that regard,” he said.
Uzodinma expressed confidence in the ability of the Minister of Works to discharge his duties diligently in line with the Renewed Hope drive of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
