Popular gospel singer Frank Edwards has paid tribute to the late renowned evangelist Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, recalling a life-changing encounter he had with the clergyman as a child.
The founder and president of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association passed away on October 6 at the age of 80, as confirmed by his family in an official statement released on Monday.
As tributes continue to pour in across social media, Frank Edwards shared that he was miraculously healed of asthma and pneumonia during one of Rev. Ukpai’s crusades in Enugu when he was just eight years old.
Taking to his social media handle, the gospel artist wrote:
“At age 8, I got healed of asthma and pneumonia in one of your crusades in Enugu!! Thank you for impacting the world in a special way!! YOU FINISHED WELL PAPA. REST ON.”
