As preparations begin for the 2026 holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has reassured intending pilgrims of improved service delivery in all aspects of the Hajj exercise.
The commission, in a message to the public released on Wednesday by its chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, stated that preparations for Hajj 2026 are already in full swing, promising a more inclusive, organized, and spiritually fulfilling experience.
Professor Usman encouraged those unable to perform Hajj in 2025 to remain hopeful, saying that their journey has only been “delayed, not denied.”
“With Allah’s mercy and your continued trust, we look ahead to Hajj 2026 with renewed faith greater commitment,” chairman stated.
He emphasized that Hajj is “more than a pilgrimage — it is a sacred journey of the heart,” and pledged that the commission is working diligently to enhance service delivery, ensure transparency, and uphold excellence in all aspects of the operation.
Describing Hajj 2026 as “a mission,” the chairman reaffirmed NAHCON’s dedication to serving all Nigerian pilgrims who aspire to answer the call of Allah.
“Stay connected. Stay hopeful. Together, we prepare for Hajj 2026,” he concluded.
